Animal Care and Use Training
Faculty are required to complete this training once every three years. Staff and Students must complete this training annually. This training is required prior to using animals in teaching or in research.
Annual Compliance Training
Annual Compliance Training is offered each year during the Spring Semester by the Office of University Compliance. The training provides an overview of various university policies as well as legal, regulatory and general compliance requirements.
Diversity Awareness Training
Faculty and Staff are required to complete this state-mandated training once during their career at UConn, within six months of employment. The training promotes an inclusive work and learning environment.
Employee Safety Orientation
Faculty and Staff are required to complete this training once and whenever an employee is reassigned. The training reviews job hazards and identifies additional task and safety training requirements.
Environmental Health and Safety Training
Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) provides comprehensive environmental health and safety services for the University community by developing and administering effective policies and procedures that prevent personal injuries and maintain regulatory compliance in the areas of biological, chemical, occupational, and radiation safety. Financial Conflict of Interest Training
Faculty and Staff must complete this training once every four years and prior to engaging in in PHS-funded research. This training is federally mandated by the Public Health Service for PHS-funded investigators. Available online (through CITI) and in-person group sessions.
Investigator Training on Export Control
Any UConn investigator listed as project personnel for a grant, contract, or cooperative agreement where export control regulations apply must complete export control training certification prior to starting any work on that project. Such certification is valid for one (1) year from the date the training is completed. Certification must be completed annually if the investigator is still personnel on a project where export control regulations apply.
Human Subjects Training
Faculty and staff must complete this training once every three years. This training is required prior to using human subjects in research.
Responsible Code of Research Training
Faculty and Staff are required to complete this training once during their employment at UConn. This training is required for students involved in research funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) or the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Safety Compliance Training
Faculty and Staff are required to complete this mandatory training dependent on specific job tasks or work environments.
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training is offered throughout the calendar year. Faculty and Staff are required to complete this training once during their career at UConn within six months of employment. The training educates participants to promote harassment-free working and learning environments.
Stem Cell Research Training
Faculty and Staff are required to complete this training once during their employment at UConn. This training is required prior to conducting research with adult or embryonic stem cells.
